Sacred Pilgrimage to Lago Atitlan, Guatemala

This spiritual and shamanic journey to Patziapa, outside of Santiago Atitlan on the beautiful shores of the lake, will include Mayan Fire Ceremony, two Temescals (Mayan sweatlodges), a day of arts exchange with local artisans, sunrise ceremonies, and many sharings of Mayan cosmology and prophesy direct from the source. Meals are prepared with love and come from the abundance of local and on-site organic gardens and fruit trees. Daily Qi Gong and Yoga will be offered as well as an option for bodywork and Mayan Divinations.

The retreat will be led by Tata OmeAkaEhekatl Erick Gonzalez, born in Guatemala and an Aj Q'ij - a DayKeeper, Mayan Spiritual Guide, Teacher, and Healer. He was initiated into Native sacred rites over a 34-year period with various spiritual elders throughout Abya Yala (the Americas).

Local Mayan wisdom keeper Tata Pedro Cruz, an Ambassador for World Peace, will conduct teachings and ceremony, as well as meeting and participating with the Atitlan Council of Mayan Elders.

Patziapa is a traditional Mayan ceremonial site, which has been preserved to share indigenous wisdom with the modern world. Here, a sacred container has been created in which we can raise our consciousness and our way of being in harmony with our world and each other.
Over the past seven years we have seen and planted over 50,000 varieties of fruit, medicine, native trees, food and flowers in this incredible fertile and sacred ground.  

Costs: $1300, $1000 for members of Earth Peoples United (contact us for more information about membership). Price includes participation, food, lodging, ground transportation, and ceremonial offering. Flight to Guatemala City is not included - participants must arrange your own flight to arrive in Guatemala City on May 11th and depart May 19th.
